Spheromers® CA6 by Lamberti is perfectly spherical monosized bead made of cross-linked polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) with extremely narrow particle size distribution. It is used as superior polymer anti-blocking agent and matting agent in segments where semi-gloss, highly transparent, smooth coating surface combined with high scratch and chemical resistance are requested.
- It has a refractive index that matches resin systems for clear coatings and is ideal for formulation of highly transparent varnishes without any milkiness or haze even for dark substrates.
- It imparts the burnish-, abrasion-, polishing-, and scratch resistance.
- It is suitable for a variety of coatings like plastic, film/foil, parquet, wood and metal/coil.
- It can be used in both waterborne, radiation-cured, moisture curable as well as in solvent-based coatings.
- It can be blended and combined with other fillers or matting agents to achieve the required opacity, matting and structure.
- Applications include resilient flooring applications, furniture coating, inks and architectural coating.
- The recommended dosage level of Spheromers® CA6 is 1-12% depending on bead size and application.
- It has a shelf life of at least 5 years at temperature below 25°C from the date of production.
