Spheromers®

Coating ingredients supplied by Lamberti
ETERNACOLL® PCD is a series of polycarbonatediols used by UBE for polyurethane elastomers. They can be used as substitution or as an additive to traditional polyester or polyether. They provide higher retention of original properties as well as maximize the mechanical properties

ETERNACOLL® products are produced by an ester interchange reaction using an aliphatic or aromatic diol and a dialkyl carbonate such as dimethyl carbonate (DMC). Different grades available in the series are:
  • ETERNACOLL® UH – Solvent-free, solid liner aliphatic polycarbonatediol
  • ETERNACOLL® PH – Liquid copolycarbonatediol with two links of diols
  • ETERNACOLL® UHC – Solvent-free, linear aliphatic polycarbonate/polyesterpolyol
  • ETERNACOLL® UC and ETERNACOLL® UM - Cyclic diol based PCD and copolycarbonatediol respectively (two kinds of diols are used). Solvent-free
  • ETERNACOLL® UT - Linear aliphatic polycarbonate/polyether polyol with low viscosity

The extreme durability ETERNACOLL® PCD products to PU elastomers make them suitable for various applications such as waterproofing membranes, oil & mining PU coast, transparent PU applications and electrical encapsulation.
