Anti-blocking Agents

Anti-blocking agents appear as fine powders or wax dispersions. These additives work by creating a micro-textured layer that reduces tackiness while maintaining clarity and surface smoothness. They are used in packaging coatings, industrial films, and wood finishes. 

Alternatives include silica-based and polymer-based anti-blocking agents. New-generation agents with enhanced scratch resistance and anti-smudge properties are gaining traction. Sub-types include wax-based anti-blocking agents and inorganic particle-based versions. Regulatory compliance may apply in food-contact coatings or eco-certified applications.
