FERROXIDE® Red 3186

FERROXIDE® Red 3186 by Venator Materials is a synthetic and natural red iron oxide pigment blend. Meets ASTM C979-2 standards for color pigments used in cement. Exhibits color-stability in processing temperatures up to 1000°C (1832°F). Recommended, owing to its sufficient purity, for use in packaging or articles that come in contact with food (21CFR), but not suitable for the direct coloration of pet food or cosmetics. Offers reliability and consistent quality, stability under exposure to sunlight and UV radiation, and alkali, chemical and weather resistancy. FERROXIDE® Red 3186 is used for plastics and rubber applications.

FERROXIDE® Red 3105

FERROXIDE® Red 3105 by Venator Materials is a light-shade combination of pure synthetic iron oxide red pigments. Manufactured in large batches on intensive grinding and blending equipment. Meets ASTM C979-82 standards for color pigments used in cement. Exhibits color-stability in processing temperatures up to 1000°C (1832°F). Suitably used as a colorant in cosmetic, animal and pet food applications and in packaging or articles that come in contact with food (21CFR), owing to its sufficient purity. Designed for liquid colorants, plastics, rubber and other uses with high color saturation and a very yellow-shade. Meets ASTM C979-82 standards for color pigments used in cement. Possesses high chroma, so it can replace a portion of organic, chromate or titanate pigments in selected applications. Exhibits color-stability below 240°C (464°F) and does not undergo any chemical change up to 1000°C (1832°F). Suitable for articles that come in contact with food (21CFR), but not suitable for direct coloration of food or cosmetics, owing to its sufficient purity. FERROXIDE® Black 863

FERROXIDE® Black 863 by Venator Materials is synthetic black iron oxide. It is a high tinting strength inorganic, permanent and inert black pigment characterized by a brownish/gray tint. It is color-stable in processing temperatures below 180°C (365°F). Above these temperatures, 863 will change color from black to brown and finally to red. Slightly higher temperature stability can be achieved when incorporating the pigment in coatings. It is of sufficient purity for use in packaging or articles that come in contact with food (21CFR). All Ferroxide® iron oxides are manufactured under strict QC and environmental controls for reliable and consistent quality, stable under exposure to sunlight, UV radiation and are alkali, chemical as well as weather resistant.

FERROXIDE® Red 226P

High-purity blue-shade precipitated red iron oxide produced from specially selected raw materials under very tight process and quality control procedures. Designed to be used as a food and feed colorant in plastics, rubber and other high-purity applications. Exhibits color-stability in processing temperatures below 400°C (750°F) and does not undergo any chemical change up to 1000°C (1832°F). Complies with FDA 21CFR standards covering use in food contact articles and European Commission Directive 2008/128/EC Section E172 for iron oxides and hydroxides.
