Iriotec® 8212

Iriotec® 8212 by Susonity is a white to light grey granulated laser pigment especially developed for polyamide applications. With its PA 12 carrier, it is even suitable for polyamides with flame retardant properties. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"> <li> The combination of organic and inorganic components enables a fast and contrasted dark marking for white and light colors. </li></ul>

Iriotec® 8826

Iriotec® 8826 by Susonity is an antimony-free, light-yellow laser pigment powder used for laser marking in polyolefins. It can be used in thermoplastic polymers with a processing temperature below 250°C as well as in thermosets and silicone rubber. With the addition of 0.2% Iriotec® 8826, fast and dark marking with a very good definition will be achieved.

Iriotec® 8820

Iriotec® 8820 by Susonity is a color neutral laser pigment suitable for a variety of technical and standard polymers. It will enhance the polymers reaction with the laser and makes it a reliable and economic marking process. It is composed of Mica+SiO<sub>2</sub> (35-53%), (Sn/Sb)O<sub>2</sub> (36-50%), titanium dioxide (11-15%). It is compatible with polyolefins (PE, PP) and aromatic polymers (PC, ABS, SAN, PBT) for dark markings, in aliphatic polymers (PMMA, POM, PA) for bright markings. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"> <li> In strongly hiding formulations, 0.5% is suggested for optimum performance. </li> <li> It improves contrast and marking speed for UV lasers for transparent unpigmented polymers. </li> <li> It is used for laser direct structuring, laser marking, and laser welding. </li> <li> Recommended dosage of Iriotec® 8820 in transparent applications should be 0.1% (minimum). </li></ul>

Iriotec® 8825

Iriotec® 8825 by Susonity is a color neutral laser marking pigment. For polymers that already show a slight reaction with the laser, it will enhance the effect and make laser marking an economic and reliable marking process. It is composed of mica (46-62%) and (Sn/Sb)O<sub>2</sub> (38-54%). <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"> <li> Most transparent solution for laser marking in polymers, additional applications are laser welding, laser direct structuring for whitish to light colored formulations. </li> <li> It is compatible with polyolefins (PE, PP) and aromatic polymers (PC, ABS, SAN, PBT) for dark markings, in aliphatic polymers (PMMA, POM, PA) for bright markings even for fluoropolymers. </li> <li> It is suitable for transparent, light and dark colors marking. </li> <li> In strongly hiding formulations, 0.5% is suggested for optimum performance. </li> <li> Recommended dosage of Iriotec® 8825 in transparent applications should be >0.1%. </li></ul>

Iriotec® 8835

Iriotec® 8835 by Susonity is a black colorant as well as a laser pigment for light marking in all kind of black polymers. It is mica (23-35%) coated with ferric oxide (65-77%). <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"> <li> It is stable in all polymers under normal processing conditions.</li> <li> It is used for electronics and automotive industries.</li> <li> Recommended dosage level is 0.4% in combination with 0.1% carbon black.</li> <li> For black formulations, it is critical to have the carbon black amount below 0.2% for good marking results. </li></ul>

Iriotec® 8208

Iriotec® 8208 by Susonity is a granulated laser pigment which enables a polymer dark and fast marking in polymers like PE, PP, TPU and others more. It is mainly used in making animal ear tags. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"> <li> It is best in class when it comes to marking speed, contrast, and a wide process window. </li> <li> Antimony trioxide (65-75%) is encapsulated in microspheres and embedded in an impermeable polymer matrix (polyethylene carrier; 25-35%). </li> <li> It offers razor-sharp and dark marking. </li> <li> Iriotec® 8208 can be pre-compounded used as a dry blend, or given using gravimetric or volumetric dosage. </li> <li> The advised dosage is 1-3% with a processing temperature above 160°C. </li></ul>

Iriotec® 8850

Iriotec® 8850 by Susonity is a light to medium grey laser pigment powder suitable for laser marking and laser direct structuring in nearly all polymers. It is composed of rutile titanium dioxide (45-65%) and tin-antimony oxide (35-55%). With its intrinsic marking properties, it will create a dark marking even in difficult polymers like silicones or fluorpolymers as well as in thin applications like polyolefin films. It is recommended for technical aliphatic polymers such as PA and POM. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"> <li> Iriotec® 8850 is stable in all polymers under normal processing conditions. </li> <li> It offers high marking speed and high contrast. </li> <li> It is the fastest pigment powder for dark laser marking in nearly all polymers and colors, additional applications are laser direct structuring and laser welding for light colored formulations. </li> <li> Iriotec® 8850 is recommended for automotive industry, wire and cable, silicones and thin materials like film & fiber. </li> <li> Unlike Iriotec® 8825 it has a higher opacity and is therefore not suitable for transparent applications. </li> <li> Recommended dosage level for silicone rubbers is 0.5%, for thermoplastic polymers is 0.1-0.5% (general) and 0.3% (standard). </li></ul>

Iriotec® 8817

Iriotec® 8817 by Susonity is a laser pigment for light marking in nearly all polymer types. It is suitable for a variety of polymers including but not limited to polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyamide (PA), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polylactide (PLA), and silicones. The colors of marked materials can be blue, green, brown, lilac where a white or light mark is more contrasted than a dark or black mark. It is a functional solution for laser welding, automotive laser cutting and light-on-dark marking applications. It is used in wire & cable, home appliances, automotive and electronic components. Iriotec® 8817 is recommended at a dosage level of 0.2%.

Iriotec® 8210

Iriotec® 8210 by Susonity is an antimony-free, granulated laser pigment most suitable for a dark marking with pulsed IR lasers for colored polyolefins. It is the antimony-free alternative to Iriotec® 8208. It is especially developed for use in sensitive applications like food contact and toys. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"> <li> It is composed of laser-active material (40-60%) and polyethylene carrier (40-60%).</li> <li> It can be pre-compounded used as dry blend or fed by gravimetric or volumetric dosing.</li> <li> It is recommended to incorporate laser granule in a masterbatch or in a compound due to its low dosage level.</li> <li> It can be processed by injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, cast films and blown films.</li> <li> Iriotec® 8210 is suitable for polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and polycarbonate (PC).</li> <li> The recommended dosage level is 0.7-1.0%.</li></ul>

Iriotec® 8855

Iriotec® 8855 by Susonity is a high speed, antimony free, laser marking pigment. It is used in plastic components subjected to high demands regarding temperature resistance, weather resistance and purity. It is free from intentionally added heavy metal compounds, in line with RoHS or CONEG regulations. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"> <li> It offers heat stability in all polymers under normal processing conditions. </li> <li> It is suitable for diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS), fiber laser. </li> <li> It shows very good performance in transparent silicone rubber. </li> <li> Iriotec® 8855 is suitable for dark markings on polymers with a tendency towards light markings such as POM, PA and PMMA. </li> <li> It should be incorporated via masterbatch for a good homogenisation. </li></ul>
