Iriotec® 8820 by Susonity is a color neutral laser pigment suitable for a variety of technical and standard polymers. It will enhance the polymers reaction with the laser and makes it a reliable and economic marking process. It is composed of Mica+SiO2 (35-53%), (Sn/Sb)O2 (36-50%), titanium dioxide (11-15%). It is compatible with polyolefins (PE, PP) and aromatic polymers (PC, ABS, SAN, PBT) for dark markings, in aliphatic polymers (PMMA, POM, PA) for bright markings.
  • In strongly hiding formulations, 0.5% is suggested for optimum performance.
  • It improves contrast and marking speed for UV lasers for transparent unpigmented polymers.
  • It is used for laser direct structuring, laser marking, and laser welding.
  • Recommended dosage of Iriotec® 8820 in transparent applications should be 0.1% (minimum).
