Vulkasil® C by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a silica filler with a medium reinforcing effect. It includes basic accelerators such as DPG, compounds containing hydroxyl groups (glycols) and almost all compounds containing basic nitrogen, e.g. triethanolamine and di-cyclohexylamine.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It gives the slight retardation of cure that improves the yield gas in compounds for sponge soles, thereby enhancing the blowing action.</li> <li> It is used where both ease of processing and good mechanical strength properties are desirable.</li> <li> It is designed for soling materials, thick soles and all rubbers except silicone rubber.</li> <li> Recommended dosage level is up to 100 phr, depending on the type of rubber, activator and properties desired in the final product.</li> <li> Vulkasil® C has a shelf life of 2 years.</li> </ul> Vulkasil® S/KG by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a silica filler with a reinforcing effect. In conjunction with china clay, siliceous chalk and other inactive fillers, it reduces cost and improves processability and with silanes, enhances rolling resistance. It is often blended with carbon black in the manufacture of such goods as conveyor belts and tire. It includes basic accelerators such as DPG, compounds containing hydroxyl groups (glycols) and almost all compounds containing basic nitrogen, e.g. triethanolamine and di-cyclohexylamine. It is suitable for all rubbers except silicone rubber and for any technical rubber goods that need particularly good mechanical properties to withstand the service conditions. It is also applicable in hard, light-colored, colored or transparent articles, such as soles and heels, tubing, profiles, bicycle tires, car and bicycle inner tubes, cable sheathing. Recommended dosage level of Vulkasil® S/KG is up to 100 phr, depending on the type of rubber, activator and properties desired in the final product. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
