Cohedur® H 30 by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a direct bonding agent for rubber to fabric (rayon, polyamide and polyester) and brass- or zinc-plated steel cord bonding. It also functions as hardening agent for reinforcing phenol formaldehyde resins and as amine accelerator. It is created by providing the rubber component with a resorcinol-, methylene- and reinforcing silica component. It also serves as a secondary accelerator for compounds containing mercapto accelerator. It is used in textile fibers, diene rubbers like NR, SBR, BR, NBR and CR. It has a shelf life of 183 days.
Vulkasil® A 1 by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a silicate filler with a medium reinforcing effect. It includes basic accelerators such as DPG, compounds containing hydroxyl groups (glycols) and almost all compounds containing basic nitrogen, e.g. triethanolamine and di-cyclohexylamine. It is used where both ease of processing and good mechanical strength properties are desirable. It suitable for soling materials, thick soles and all rubbers except silicone rubber. Recommended dosage level is up to 100 phr, depending on the type of rubber, activator and properties desired in the final product. Vulkasil® A 1 has a shelf life of 2 years.
Vulkasil® S by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a silica filler with a reinforcing effect. It includes basic accelerators such as DPG, compounds containing hydroxyl groups (glycols) and almost all compounds containing basic nitrogen, e.g. triethanolamine and di-cyclohexylamine. In conjunction with china clay, siliceous chalk and other inactive fillers, it reduces cost and improves processability and with silanes, enhances rolling resistance. It is often blended with carbon black in the manufacture of such goods as conveyor belts and tire. It is designed for all rubbers except silicone rubber and for any technical rubber goods that need particularly good mechanical properties to withstand the service conditions. It is also suitable in hard, light-colored, colored or transparent articles, such as soles and heels, tubing, profiles, bicycle tires, car and bicycle inner tubes, cable sheathing. Recommended dosage level is up to 100 phr, depending on the type of rubber, activator and properties desired in the final product. Vulkasil® S has a shelf life of 2 years.
