Vulkasil® C

Vulkasil® C by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a silica filler with a medium reinforcing effect. It includes basic accelerators such as DPG, compounds containing hydroxyl groups (glycols) and almost all compounds containing basic nitrogen, e.g. triethanolamine and di-cyclohexylamine.

• It gives the slight retardation of cure that improves the yield gas in compounds for sponge soles, thereby enhancing the blowing action.
• It is used where both ease of processing and good mechanical strength properties are desirable.
• It is designed for soling materials, thick soles and all rubbers except silicone rubber.
• Recommended dosage level is up to 100 phr, depending on the type of rubber, activator and properties desired in the final product.
• Vulkasil® C has a shelf life of 2 years.
