AKTISIL Q is an amorphous, cryptocrystalline silica and lamellar kaolinite coated with various organofunctional silanes and/or paraffins. Acts as a functional filler either on its own or in combination with other non-reinforcing or reinforcing fillers. Produced by modifying the surface with methacryl silane. Offers high tensile strength and moduli along with very low tensile and compression set. Imparts excellent processing properties and high oil resistance. Also provides good surface quality, reduced stickiness and high collapse resistance. Recommended for extruded profiles, hoses, cables, molded gaskets and O-rings as well as roller coverings. AKTISIL Q is compatible with silicon rubber (Q) in combination with all typical peroxides. AKTISIL AM by Hoffmann Mineral is an amorphous, cryptocrystalline silica and lamellar kaolinite coated with various organofunctional silanes and/or paraffins. Acts as a functional filler either on its own or in combination with other non-reinforcing or reinforcing fillers. Produced by modifying the surface with amino silane. Offers good dispersion and wetting properties, high melt flow rate, good surface finish, dimensional stability, high tensile and impact strength, good price/ performance ratio and improved heat distortion temperature in case of thermoplastic application. Provides increased tensile strength, reduced abrasion loss, resistance to liquids and no negative effect on amine cure in case of elastomer application. AKTISIL AM is recommended for profiles, hoses, cable sheaths and cable insulation, pharmaceutical stoppers, molded products and seals, roller coverings and sponge rubber products. Offers tensile strength, water repellancy, higher rebound resilience. Improves resistance to liquids, dynamic load capacity. Reduces tension, abrasion and compression set. Electrical insulation resistance remains high and constant after storage of water.
