AKTIFIT VM by Hoffmann Mineral is a onglomerate of amorphous and crypto-crystalline silica with lamellar kaolinite, produced by modifying the surface with special vinyl silane. It is a highly hydrophobic filler. It acts as a functional filler, either on its own or in combination with other non-reinforcing or reinforcing fillers. AKTIFIT VM provides maximum tensile strength at a higher filler loading. <br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"> <li> It offers improved resistance to liquids, reduced tension and compression set, increased tensile strength, and improved abrasion resistance. </li>
<li> It absorbs outstandingly low moisture even under very humid condition. </li>
<li> Electrical resistance remains high and constant during immersion in water. </li>
<li> It is recommended for pressure-less cured extruded products like profiles, hoses, condenser gaskets, sponge rubber products, high-voltage cable sheaths and cable insulation. </li>
<li> The best effect is achieved in radical cured systems (peroxide, high-energy radiation). </li>
<li> It is used for housings and impact-resistant molded parts such as polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and polycarbonate (PC), as well as anti-blocking films, packaging, and technical films. </li>
<li> AKTIFIT VM is compatible with radical cured elastomers such as CM, CSM, EPM, EPDM, EVM, Q HNBR. </li>
<li> The recommended dosage rate ranges from 50 to 400 phr, depending on application, formulation, and requirements. </li> </ul> AKTIFIT AM by Hoffmann Mineral is a cryptocrystalline and amorphous silica and calcined kaolin coated with various organofunctional silanes and/or white oil. Acts as a functional filler either by itself or in combination with other fillers or reinforcing fibers. Produced by modifying the surface with amino functional silane. Can be used whenever low warpage and perfect surface finish is required along with good melt flow, high elongation at break and high impact strength. Exhibits good wetting and dispersion properties. Imparts hardness, stiffness, tensile and flex strength. Provides higher heat conductivity, lower processing shrinkage and sieve residues. Easy feeding and metering, no graying of black-colored compounds are added benefits. AKTIFIT AM is recommended for automotive wheel covers, grips, handles, housing, castings and covering parts under the hood. Optimum effects are achieved particularly in polyamides, especially PA 66. Also compatible with engineering thermoplastics, PE, EVA, PVAC, PP and MAPP (maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene).
