AKTISIL AM by Hoffmann Mineral is an amorphous, cryptocrystalline silica and lamellar kaolinite coated with various organofunctional silanes and/or paraffins. Acts as a functional filler either on its own or in combination with other non-reinforcing or reinforcing fillers. Produced by modifying the surface with amino silane. Offers good dispersion and wetting properties, high melt flow rate, good surface finish, dimensional stability, high tensile and impact strength, good price/ performance ratio and improved heat distortion temperature in case of thermoplastic application. Provides increased tensile strength, reduced abrasion loss, resistance to liquids and no negative effect on amine cure in case of elastomer application. AKTISIL AM is recommended for profiles, hoses, cable sheaths and cable insulation, pharmaceutical stoppers, molded products and seals, roller coverings and sponge rubber products. Compatible with elastomers like CR, NBR, HNBR, IIR, BIIR, CIIR, EVM, EVA, AEM, CM, CSM, ECO, ACM, EPDM, U / PU / TPU and thermoplastics like PA, PC, PEK, PPO, polysulfone, PVB, PE/EVA,PVAC.
