AKTIFIT VM by Hoffmann Mineral is a onglomerate of amorphous and crypto-crystalline silica with lamellar kaolinite, produced by modifying the surface with special vinyl silane. It is a highly hydrophobic filler. It acts as a functional filler, either on its own or in combination with other non-reinforcing or reinforcing fillers. AKTIFIT VM provides maximum tensile strength at a higher filler loading.
  • It offers improved resistance to liquids, reduced tension and compression set, increased tensile strength, and improved abrasion resistance.
  • It absorbs outstandingly low moisture even under very humid condition.
  • Electrical resistance remains high and constant during immersion in water.
  • It is recommended for pressure-less cured extruded products like profiles, hoses, condenser gaskets, sponge rubber products, high-voltage cable sheaths and cable insulation.
  • The best effect is achieved in radical cured systems (peroxide, high-energy radiation).
  • It is used for housings and impact-resistant molded parts such as polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and polycarbonate (PC), as well as anti-blocking films, packaging, and technical films.
  • AKTIFIT VM is compatible with radical cured elastomers such as CM, CSM, EPM, EPDM, EVM, Q HNBR.
  • The recommended dosage rate ranges from 50 to 400 phr, depending on application, formulation, and requirements.
