AKTIFIT AM

AKTIFIT AM by Hoffmann Mineral is a cryptocrystalline and amorphous silica and calcined kaolin coated with various organofunctional silanes and/or white oil. Acts as a functional filler either by itself or in combination with other fillers or reinforcing fibers. Produced by modifying the surface with amino functional silane. Can be used whenever low warpage and perfect surface finish is required along with good melt flow, high elongation at break and high impact strength. Exhibits good wetting and dispersion properties. Imparts hardness, stiffness, tensile and flex strength. Provides higher heat conductivity, lower processing shrinkage and sieve residues. Easy feeding and metering, no graying of black-colored compounds are added benefits. AKTIFIT AM is recommended for automotive wheel covers, grips, handles, housing, castings and covering parts under the hood. Optimum effects are achieved particularly in polyamides, especially PA 66. Also compatible with engineering thermoplastics, PE, EVA, PVAC, PP and MAPP (maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene).
