Paroil® CW50AO by Dover Chemical (ICC Industries) is a chlorinated very long-chain alkane with a trace amount of stabilizer. It can be used as a plasticizer and flame retardant in rubber, PVC and PUF. Paroil® CW50AO offers low volatility, and very low odor. Paroil® 152 by Dover Chemical (ICC Industries) is a chlorinated normal paraffin. It is a non-flammable, non-corrosive, low volatile liquid at room temperature. It contains a stabilizer to maintain product integrity during transport and storage. Paroil® 152 is applied in machining, drawing, and stamping fluids. Paroil® 140 by Dover Chemical (ICC Industries) is a long chain stabilized chlorinated alkane. It is typically preferred for drawing and stamping applications and offers excellent performance in aluminum machining. It shows high viscosity, gives additional lubricity, body and tenacity to lubricant films. Paroil® 140 can be used in conjunction with other chain length products. Stable, medium viscosity, superior solubility.
Used as extreme pressure additive in metalworking fluids, this product is also used for several resin systems.
It is insoluble in water, lower alcohols and glycols, but soluble in most organic solvents.
Easily emulsified for blending into water based formulations, its applications also include rubbers including Neoprene, polyurethanes, and flame retardant paints and adhesives.
To obtain the optimum cost performance, it is usually used in combination with a synergist such as antimony oxide or a phosphate ester. Paroil 54-NR is a low volatile, extreme pressure flame-retardant by Dover Chemical (ICC Industries). It is based on chlorinated olefin. Recommended for plasticizers and EP metalworking packages. Paroil 54-NR is a non-corrosive and non-flammable additive. Stable, lowest viscosity, high solubility.
