Cohedur® RS

Cohedur® RS by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is an adhesion promoter additive. It improves the adhesion substantially when used with polymers having a higher degree of saturation like EPDM. It is created by providing the rubber component with a resorcinol-, methylene- and reinforcing silica component. It is processed by vulcanization. It can directly bond rubber with commonly used fabrics, textile fibers, such as rayon, polyamide and polyester (with special spin finish) and brass- or zinc-plated steel cord. It is suitable for diene rubbers such as NR, SBR, BR, NBR and CR. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
