Adhesion Promoters

Based on 468 products - Last update on the Jul 8, 2025

Adhesion promoters in plastics are specialty additives designed to enhance the bond between plastic surfaces and other materials. These promoters typically appear as clear liquids or fine powders. Key features include their ability to increase bonding durability, enhance resistance to environmental factors, and improve the mechanical properties of the final product. They are suitable for applications in automotive parts, electronics, and packaging.

Alternatives to adhesion promoters include surface treatments like primers and etching. A notable trend in the industry is the development of multifunctional adhesion promoters that offer additional benefits such as hydrophobicity and thermal stability. Sub-types include silane-based, titanate-based, and zirconate-based promoters.
