Synthetic, amorphous silicon dioxide. Acts as a reinforcing filler. It improves compound adhesion to the reinforcing fabric and also improves tear resistance while maximizing abrasion resistance. Also provides high hardness. Recommended for power transmission belts, hose compounds, black hose covers, mats, specialty gloves, sporting equipment grips, tire tread compounds, wire and cable. Also suitable for footwear where it allows good transparency and color to translucent soling as well as used to reinforce a wide range of heel and sole compounds.
