Hi-Sil™ 233-D by PPG Industries is silicon dioxide based reinforcing filler. It is a easy dispersing powder. It provides tensile strength, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance. Superior heat age resistance and tear strength are added benefits when used with carbon black. Recommended for the use in black and non-black rubber compounds. Other reinforced rubber applications are mats, wire and cable coverings, specialty gloves, sporting equipment grips and footwear where it provides good transparency and color to translucent soling. Hi-Sil™ 233-D is also used to reinforce a wide range of heel and sole compounds.
