Niax™ Silicone L-5420

Niax™ silicone L-5420 by Momentive Performance Materials acts as a surfactant. Provides excellent cell control and to effectively compatibilize rigid foaming ingredients. It is soluble in most rigid polyols and will make clear stable premixes. It should not be added to isocyanate. Can be used in formulations such as refrigeration, pour-in-place, slabstock, froth, spray, and continuous laminate boardstock with excellent results. It can be used to stabilize formulations where a polyol soluble product is desired and inadequate. With increased emphasis on foam production costs, it can lower inventory costs by performing in most rigid foam formulations. Niax™ silicone L-5420 may be an excellent candidate for use as a general purpose surfactant for most rigid foam formulations and shoe soles applications.
