Opteon™ 1100

Opteon™ 1100 (Old Name: Formacel™ 1100) by Chemours is a chlorine-free hydro-fluoro-olefin-based foam blowing agent. It exhibits non-flammability, zero ozone depletion potential, non-mutagenicity, chemical stability, optimum boiling point, low vapor thermal conductivity and permeation.

• It improves energy efficiency and thermal stability in products.
• It offers extremely low global warming potential and good compatibility with metals, elastomers and plastics.
• It shows good solubility in a broad range of typical urethane foam polyols.
• It also exhibits high foaming efficiency, including equal weight substitution in some cases.
• Opteon™ 1100 is extremely effective as a replacement for HFCs, HCFCs and HCs in urethane-based foam applications.
• It is used in polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foam applications including spray, appliance, pour in place, panels, integral skin, flotation, pipe insulation and bun stock.
• It has a shelf life of 6 months.
