Akrosorb™ 19348

Akrosorb™ 19348 by Akrochem is a uniform dry powdered, release agent and internal lubricant for mostly all synthetic- and natural rubbers. It is a dispersion of 72% AC-1702 PE wax (low molecular weight polyethylene wax in a paste form) on synthetic calcium silicate. It is a semi-solid process aid for rubber and provides an excellent release from metal surfaces. It also functions as mold release in many non-black formulas. It is a dry liquid dispersion (DLD) is easy to handle and can be weighed accurately. Akrosorb™ 19348 allows the mill mixer to use PE wax in formulations (most solid PE waxes require melt temperatures of over 200°F). It shows better uniformity of the mix at lowering processing temperature. In this grade, DLD are a proven means of upgrading plant safety, quality and raw material control.
