SP-1045 Resin

SP-1045 Resin (Old Name: Akrochem® P-101) by Akrochem is a heat reactive, phenolic resin-based tackifier used in the resin curing of butyl rubbers. It is suitable in combination with halogen and zinc donors, yields butyl vulcanizates with outstanding resistance to high heat and compression set. It exhibits non-blooming, non-staining, high modulus values and inherent ozone resistance. It is designed for tire curing bladders, conveyor belts, gaskets and heat resistant packing compounds. It shows compatibility with other elastomers. Recommended dosage level of SP-1045 Resin in butyl is 10-12 phr, chloro-butyl is 4-5 phr and bromo-butyl 1-3 phr.

Accelerator BBTS

Accelerator BBTS by Akrochem is N-tert-butyl-2 benzothiazolesulfenamide-based accelerator. It offers excellent scorch safety with fast cure rates and is activated by acidic materials like stearic acid. It is available as a polymeric masterbatch and can be used in combination with secondary accelerator. It provides comparable modulus at reduce level than typical loading of other sulfenamides. Accelerator BBTS is designed for natural and synthetic rubbers. In this grade, polymer bound or encapsulated dispersion is used to upgrade plant safety, quality and raw material control. Recommended in conjunction with Cure-Rite 18 to formulate compounds having high modulus and good heat aging.

Zinc Oxide Transparent (Akrochem)

Zinc Oxide Transparent by Akrochem is an accelerator activator of extremely fine particle size, particularly suited for transparent rubber goods. It is also used in natural- and synthetic rubber. It is easy to incorporate and has very good dispersion characteristics. It raises compound viscosities and, at a high level of addition, increases thermal conductivity. It has a stiffening effect, improving the dimensional stability of extrusion and opens cured goods. It enhances mechanical properties, and tear- and abrasion resistance. The recommended dosage level of Zinc Oxide Transparent in transparent articles is 1.0-2.5 phr, translucent articles is 2.5-5 phr, colored articles is 3.5-5 phr, and for improving, dimensional stability and thermal conductivity is 8-10 phr.
