THERMALUX® POLYETHERIMIDE by Westlake Plastics is an amorphous polyether imide (PEI) grade. Is a stress relieved and traceable grade. Exhibits excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals and disinfectants. Possesses ability to maintain its size and shape over a broad temperature range. Recommended sterilization techniques for THERMALUX® POLYETHERIMIDE include EtO gas, radiation, steam autoclaving, dry heat and cold sterilization. Suitable for provisional trials, instrument handles and medical device components. Complies with FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.1595, UL 94 5VA and V-0 Flame Rating and meets the requirements of USP Class VI specifications. THERMALUX® POLYSULFONE by Westlake Plastics is a stream resistant polyethersulfone (PESU) grade. Is an easily machined grade, exhibiting dimensionally stability, low outgassing levels, excellent mechanical and electrical properties and resistance against creep and deformation under load even at elevated temperatures. Possesses high tensile strength and flexural modulus. Shows resistance to soap, detergent solutions and some hydrocarbon oils, even at elevated temperatures under moderate stress levels. It is recommended for float switches, membrane cartridge filter system, solenoid valve body and dairy connectors. THERMALUX® POLYSULFONE complies with FDA and UL 94 HB flame rating.
