Techtron® PPS by Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is a semi-crystalline, unfilled, inherently flame retardant, natural colored polyphenylene sulfide [PPS]. Exhibits high mechanical strength, stiffness & creep resistance at elevated temperatures, very good dimensional stability (minimal moisture absorption and a low coefficient of linear thermal expansion), excellent chemical – as well as hydrolysis- resistance. Has excellent resistance to high energy radiation [gamma- & X-rays], easy machinability to close tolerances, good UV-resistance, inherent low flammability, good electrical insulating and dielectric properties. Offers very high maximum allowable service temperature in air and inertness to steam, strong bases, fuels & acids. Is suitable for processing by extrusion. Techtron® PPS is used in structural applications in corrosive environments such as HPLC, chip nests and CMP retaining rings. Complies with FDA and European Union [Directive 2002/72/EC]. Techtron® PSGF PPS is a semi-crystalline polyphenylene sulfide [PPS] reinforced with 40% glass fiber. It is a compression molded analogue to Ryton R4 resin. Exhibits high mechanical strength, stiffness & creep resistance at elevated temperatures, very good dimensional stability (minimal moisture absorption and a low coefficient of linear thermal expansion), excellent chemical – as well as hydrolysis- resistance. Has excellent resistance to high energy radiation [gamma- & X-rays], good UV-resistance, inherent low flammability, good electrical insulating and dielectric properties. Is suitable for processing by compression molding. Used in pump housings. Techtron® PPS by Quadrant is a semi-crystalline, inherently lubricated, deep blue colored polyphenylene sulfide [PPS]. Exhibits high mechanical strength, stiffness & creep resistance at elevated temperatures, very good dimensional stability (minimal moisture absorption and a low coefficient of linear thermal expansion), excellent chemical – as well as hydrolysis- resistance. Has excellent resistance to high energy radiation [gamma- & X-rays], low coefficient of friction, easy machinability to close tolerances, good UV-resistance, inherent low flammability, excellent wear resistance, load-bearing capabilities, good electrical insulating and dielectric properties. Offers very high maximum allowable service temperature in air and inertness to steam, strong bases, fuels & acids. Is suitable for processing by extrusion. Used in used in all kinds of industrial equipment such as industrial drying, flow meter rotors, food processing ovens [bearings, rollers], chemical process equipment [pump-, valve & compressor components] and electrical insulating systems as well as sliding parts. Techtron® PPS complies with FDA and European Union [Directive 2002/72/EC]. Techtron® PSBG PPS is a semi-crystalline, internally lubricated polyphenylene sulfide [PPS] reinforced with carbon fiber. Exhibits high mechanical strength, stiffness & creep resistance at elevated temperatures, very good dimensional stability (minimal moisture absorption and a low coefficient of linear thermal expansion), excellent chemical – as well as hydrolysis- resistance. Has excellent resistance to high energy radiation [gamma- & X-rays], good UV-resistance, inherent low flammability, good electrical insulating and dielectric properties. Is suitable for processing by compression molding. It is well suited for and wear applications or when an electrically conductive material is required. Used in pump lantern rings.
