KURARAY POVAL™ 8-88 by Kuraray is a water-soluble, partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. It is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It exhibits good adhesion properties. It is recommended for paper applications. KURARAY POVAL™ 8-88 ha a shelf life of 12 months. KURARAY POVAL™ 25-88 KL by Kuraray is a water-soluble, polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) with carboxylic acid function manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is recommended as emulsion polymerization aid to binder for pigments in paper applications. This specialty grade can be stored for 12 months from the date of shipment. KURARAY POVAL™ 32-88 by Kuraray is a partially saponified, polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH). It has uniform chemical structure and shows great adhesion. It offers extension of the open time, influence on the rheology, good remoistening properties and high degree of flatness during storage under fluctuating air humidity. It provides minimal blocking tendency even in high air humidity and fast setting after reactivation. It is used as a water-activated adhesive raw material. It can also be used as a protective colloid which can influence the particle size distribution, viscosity, stability to stirring, freeze/thaw stability, pigment compatibility & electrolyte stability. It is recommended for gumming of paper on the reverse side (e.g. postage stamps and labels), coatings, envelopes & Jiffy®-type bags. It is suitable for modification of emulsion adhesives. Aqueous solutions can be added to polymer emulsions that are already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol. KURARAY POVAL™ 32-88 has a shelf life of 12 months. KURARAY POVAL™ 30-98 by Kuraray is a water soluble, polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) fully saponified grade. It is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is used as a binder in sizes based on its good penetration capacity and good adhesion properties. Shows high cohesion and toughness, low electrostatic charging and re-dissolving capacity of the dried film. KURARAY POVAL™ 30-98 has a shelf life of 12 months. KURARAY POVAL™ 200-88 KX SB by Kuraray is polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. It is used as a stabilizer for the emulsion polymerization of VAM and as a post additive for emulsion. The emulsion with PVOH provides high viscosity, mechanical stability, film strength and heat resistance. It exhibits good water solubility. KURARAY POVAL™ 200-88 KX SB is recommended for use in modification of emulsion-, production of paper-, and remoistenable adhesives. It can be used as protective colloid in emulsion polymerization and raw material for the production of sizes and textile finishes. Complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC regulation. Its shelf life is 12 months. KURARAY POVAL™ 17-94 NA by Kuraray is a water soluble, partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH). Exhibits uniform chemical structure and greater adhesion. It influences not only particle size distribution but also the application properties such as viscosity, stability to stirring, freeze/thaw stability, pigment compatibility, electrolyte stability, and open time of the emulsion. It is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is used in remoistenable adhesives. KURARAY POVAL™ 17-94 NA is used as a protective colloid in the polymerization of polymer emulsions. It has a shelf life of 12 months. KURARAY POVAL™ 26-80 by Kuraray is a water-soluble, partially saponified, polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is suitable as emulsion polymerization aid to binder in paper applications. It exhibits uniform chemical structure and good adhesion. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 26-80 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. It is recommended for the modification of emulsion adhesives, remoistenable adhesives and protective colloid emulsion polymerization. It can be stored for 12 months from the date of shipment.
