Biograde® C 5508 by FKuR is a biodegradable, thermally stabilized, water insoluble, plasticizer-free cellulose acetate obtained from sustainable forestry wood. Contains high amount of renewable raw materials and additives. It has >60% bio-based carbon content (BCC). Exhibits high stiffness, high tensile & impact strength, short cycle times and good surface finish. Biograde® C 5508 is designed for processing by injection molding and cast film extrusion. Suitable for use as a packaging material in food contact applications and the production of components with thin wall thicknesses and long flow paths. Possible applications could be electronics, appliance, consumer products such as toothbrushes, ball-point pens, cutlery and toys. Complies with CLP regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, EN 71-3, food contact regulations EN 10/2011 and US FDA.

Biograde® C 6509 CL

Biodegradable polymer-blend based on cellulose acetate (CA) contains additives. It is derived from partially natural resource material but does not contain any starch or starch derivatives. Possesses high content of natural resource materials, excellent heat resistance-up to 115 °C. It is injection moldable on conventional injection molding equipment and is processable with multi-cavity molds. Used in flat sheet / film suitable for thermoforming on conventional deep drawing machinery.

Biodegradable polymer-blend based on cellulose acetate (CA) and additives. It is derived from partially natural resource material but does not contain any starch or starch derivatives. Possesses high content of natural resource materials, excellent heat resistance-up to 115 °C. It is injection moldable on conventional injection molding equipment and is processable with multi-cavity molds. Used in flat sheet / film suitable for thermoforming on conventional deep drawing machinery. Commonly molded into disposable cutlery, it is also possible to process into many other more complex products on standard injection molding machines equipped with a general purpose screw.
