NexTene™ PCX02 by Demeta is a medium cure, high viscosity, two-component (50/1 ratio) polydicyclopentadiene (poly-DCPD), thermoset system. Possesses exceptional mechanical properties, adjustable viscosity enabling short infusion times as well as low density to reduce part and function weight. Suitable for composites processed by pultrusion or filament winding. Potential applications include hydrogen or carbon dioxide storage, concrete rebars, wind turbines, ballistic protection, 5G communication, composite risers and automotive parts. The PCX family exhibits attractive electric & dielectric properties and adjustable gel-time i.e. from a few minutes to several hours. GPX02 is a low viscosity, fast-cure thermoset system designed for low-pressure injection (e.g. Reaction Injection Molding) or casting of large parts without reinforcement. Potential applications include body panels, ballistic protection, utility tunnel liners, nuclear waste handling & storage and chemical storage tanks. Offers extreme cold/ heat service temperatures, excellent impact and corrosion resistance. Possesses adjustable low viscosity capabilities, exceptional mechanical properties, stiffness and low density to reduce part and function weight. Exhibits exceptional toughness, strength, hardness and durability. NexTene™ GPX02 is suitable for low-cost molds (cast or machined aluminum) and engineering of complex 3D designs with low tooling investment costs. NexTene™ PCX04 by Demeta is a two-component, liquid, thermosetting system (50/1 ratio) leading to PDCPD (or Polydicyclopentadiene or poly-DCPD). It has a long pot life. Suitable for large composite parts processed by resin transfer molding, infusion or filament winding and syntactic foam processed by casting. It allows fast infusion upto 24 hours and manufactures very large parts with few injection points. NexTene™ PCX04 can be used in combination with glass fiber, carbon fiber, UHMW-PE and spheres for syntactic foams.
