NexTene™ PCX01 by Demeta is a fast cure, low viscosity, two-component (50/1 ratio) polydicyclopentadiene (poly-DCPD), thermoset system. It is suitable for composites processed by fast-RTM and can be used in combination with both glass and carbon fiber. Possesses exceptional mechanical properties, adjustable viscosity enabling short infusion times as well as low density to reduce part and function weight. Offers industry-leading impact and fatigue resistance, extreme cold/ heat service temperatures, excellent behavior in hot and wet environments. Exhibits attractive electric & dielectric properties and adjustable gel-time i.e. from a few minutes to several hours. Potential applications of NexTene™ PCX01 include hydrogen or carbon dioxide storage, concrete rebars, wind turbines, ballistic protection, 5G communication, composite risers and automotive parts.
