Styropor® F 395 E

by BASF

Styropor® F 395 E by BASF is a flame retardant, expandable polystyrene (EPS) block molding garde with 4.5% pentane content. Exhibits low weight, good shock absorption, good thermal insulation performance- and conductivity. Offers high compressive strength, outstanding impact absorption and moisture resistance. Designed for processing by foams in three steps- pre-expansion, intermediate storage, and expansion stages. During the pre-expansion stage, the compact raw material is transformed into closed-cell foam which is characterized by low energy consumption and short cycle times. After an appropriate intermediate storage time, EPS is expanded in conventional block molds to make foams. Typical applications of Styropor® F 395 E include technical moldings, insulated concrete forms (ICF), ceiling-, attic- and steep roof insulation.
