Elexar® EL-8712R is an opaque, general purpose, flame retardant, easily colored & printed, PVC-, halogenated and phthalate ester- free themoplastic elastomer (TPE) grade with low flow. Offers superior electrical properties coupled with excellent flexibility, elasticity, toughness and surface aesthetics & good abrasion, tear, and tensile properties. Exhibits high elongation, high tensile strength and low temperature flexibility. It combines excellent low temperature properties with very good thermal stability and shows weather-, heat aging-, UV- & ozone- resistance. It does not require pre-drying, is fully recyclable and reprocessable, whether from process scrap or post-consumer waste. Suitable for processing by extrusion and injection molding. Desired applications include appliance wire insulation, appliance wire jacketing, cable jacketing, connectors, flexible cord jacketing, industrial cable insulation, terminal cable jacketing, underground power cable, wire & cable applications and wire jacketing. Used in cords, battery cables & robotic cables, grommets and boots. Also used gas tube and oil burner cable (UL-814) and deep-well submersible pump cable (UL-83). Complies with UL94 & RoHS.
