STYREX® 406RC by Synbra Technology is a white colored, durable, lightweight, expandable polystyrene (EPS) containing pentane as expansion agent. Exhibits good energy absorption and compression resistance. Is insoluble in water and soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated solvents & ketones. Can be processed using foaming. STYREX® 406RC is recommended for production of expanded foam moldings, shape molding and block molding applications with thin walls. Other possible applications include safety helmets, child car seats, air conditioning units, boiler casing, bath panels, automotive components, lighting, pharmaceutical sector and horticulture. Complies with EC Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH), 1272/2008 (CLP), Regulation (EU) No 453/2010.
