SEPTON™ 1020 by Kuraray is a styrene ethylene-propylene copolymer (SEP). It is a di-block type with excellent clarity, transparency and flowability. It can also be applied as a modifier for unsaturated polyester. It possesses high elasticity & strength, low temperature and electrical properties (insulation). It shows weather-, heat aging- and chemical resistance (acid, alkali, alcohol). It is also a recyclable grade. It is soluble in petroleum benzene, toluene, hexane, chloroform, cyclohexane, tetrahydrofuran and partially soluble in ethyl acetate & methyl ethyl ketone. It is insoluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, water and dimethylformamide. SEPTON™ 1020 is used in automotive parts, soft touch grips, wire & cable insulation, toys, sporting goods and non-woven fabric.
