PA 1102 Black by EOS is a biocompatible, impact modified, light & UV stabilized polyamide 11 (PA 11) homopolymer grade. It is made out of renewable raw material (castor oil). Exhibits good elasticity, high impact resistance, high elongation at break, and excellent resistance to chemicals such as hydrocarbons, aldehydes, ketones, mineral bases & salts. Possesses color stability, ductility, and resistance to alcohols, fuels, detergents, solvent, grease, oil, & fats. PA 1102 Black suitable for processing by 3D printing, additive manufacturing, laser sintering and rapid prototyping. Recommended for automotive, electrical & electronics, IT & business machines, medical and sports equipment. Applications include mechanically loaded functional prototypes & series parts with long-term moving elements (eg. film hinges), automotive interior components for crash relevant parts, abrasively stressed and manually manipulated visible parts, small to medium sized parts, thin walls and lattice structures. It meets the requirements of the regulation DIN EN ISO 10993-5.
