Arnitel® EM400 by Envalior is a high-performance, non-reinforced & non flame retarded thermoplastic copolyester (TPC) grade. It is a lighter, smarter, greener alternative to conventional rubbers thus, reducing environmental impact and ultimately, system costs. It is processed by injection molding and extrusion. It possesses strength & excellent processing characteristics. This food contact quality grade offers chemical resistance against household chemicals like cleaning agents, sunscreen lotion and automotive greases and oils. It allows for reliable solutions due to its retention of flexibility even at temperatures down to -40°C or at elevated temperatures up to 100°C, due to its excellent resistance to oxidizing agents and no emission of nitrogen as TPU and due to its wide direct food contact approvals (FDA/EC compliancy). It offers good haptics, broad tactile properties with superior touch & feel and high creep-, tear & abrasion resistance. It has broadest operating temperature range from -45°C to 150°C. This grade allows for reliable solutions due to excellent colorability, excellent bonding with SAN compared to PP based elastomers and high resistance to detergent solutions. Used in spring in monitor arm with low creep & adjustable load bearing, chair carriers, conveyor belts, cosmetic dispensers and grips. Recommended for automotive structural suspension systems, industrial cords & ropes, phone case, railway pads, screw drivers and plyers. Arnitel® EM400 is also used for seat suspension/fabrics, soft touch in spatulas & kitchenware, support springs, washing machine timer knobs and wine taps. It meets ISO 18064 for TPC-ET.
