FORTRON® 6165 SY3004 BROWN by Celanese is a linear, semi-crystalline, flame retardant polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) grade reinforced with mineral and glass fiber. Is relatively impermeable to gases, hydrocarbons and other liquids compared to other materials. Provides high dimensional stability, low coefficient of friction, low shrinkage, excellent mechanical properties, creep resistance at high temperatures, high continuous use temperature (160°C to 240°C) and very low moisture absorption. Offers high hardness, rigidity and exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion, hydrolysis, oxidation, heat and paraffin buildup. Shows excellent chemical resistance to all solvents below 200°C, acids, bases, typical and alternative automotive fuels and petroleum fluids at elevated temperatures. Is processed by injection molding. Is suitable for lead-free soldering and metal replacement applications. FORTRON® 6165 SY3004 BROWN by Celanese is used in electronic components (i.e. lamp houses, connection parts and sockets) and components in industry (i.e. pumps and pistons). Complies with RoHS, PFOS and PFOA regulations.
