STYRON® 478 is a cost-effective high impact polystyrene (HIPS) grade by AmSty. Offers good gloss, excellent dimensional stability, excellent flow and stiffness. Exhibits high toughness and processing ability. Provides better color consistency, the ability to down-gauge and improved wall thickness distribution. Applications include food packaging, cups, lids, appliances and housewares. is suitable for medical, appliances, consumer and electronic applications. Complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1640, UL94 HB E326906 and USP Class VI.
