Meadowfoam Estolide. MEADOWESTOLIDE® by Elementis is a non-animal origin, protective and moisturizing agent. It improves intra-fiber moisture retention in hair and protects it from thermal damage. It helps in restoring hair elasticity while reducing the coefficient of friction of cuticle surface in order to prevent mechanical damage. It helps to adjust the hydration levels of the interstitial spaces in skin. It offers an elegant after-feel and improves texture of products. It also enhances pigment delivery and color “pay-off” in decorative cosmetics. MEADOWESTOLIDE® is used in hair care products (shampoo, conditioner, setting aid, relaxer, dye), skin creams and lotions. The shelf life of this grade is 2 years. It is Ecocert and COSMOS approved.
