Conjugated linoleic acid. Pamolyn™ 380 Conjugated Linoleic Acid by Synthomer is pale in color and has low odor & exceptionally low titer point. It is produced synthetically by an Eastman process that isomerizes 9, 12-linoleic acid to 9, 11-conjugated form, and controls production of the latter to a uniform ratio of cis-trans to trans-trans isomers. Pamolyn™ 300 Fatty Acid by Synthomer is a conjugated linoleic acid and linoleic acid-rich blend. It is derived wholly from a tall oil fatty acid source. Exhibits low odor, low unsaponifiables, fast drying and excellent surface. Also exhibits excellent color stability and low titer point. It contains 38-44% conjugated diene fatty acids which makes it more reactive when compared with natural linoleic acids of similar linoleic content. It is used for production of epoxy resin esters. Designed to use as a chemical intermediates for reactions involving conjugated unsaturation and modifiers of styrenated and other alkyds.
