Propylmatte 31HD by Micro Powders is a finely micronized densified polypropylene for consistent matting and gloss control. It imparts efficient gloss reduction from satin to a matte finish, non-slip properties and improved resistance to burnishing. It offers optimized particle density to essentially eliminate
flotation or settling. It is suitable for use in water-based and energy-curable inks, paints and coatings. Applicable in industrial- (plastic, metal, masonry and leather), wood-, interior and exterior can-, container-, coil- and floor coatings as well as architectural wall and trim paints, stains, sealers and varnishes, printing inks and OPV's (flexo and gravure). Propylmatte 31HD has a recommended addition level of 2.0-5.0%. Propylmatte 31 by Micro Powders is a tough, high molecular weight, micronized polypropylene wax. Imparts burnish, abrasion resistance and non-slip properties. It provides consistent gloss reduction with no effect on coating viscosity. In powder coatings, gives texture in low bake (Low E). Propylmatte 31 is used in water-based and solvent-based industrial- (including plastic, metal and leather), wood-, coil coatings, architectural wall and trim paints, stains, sealers and varnishes as well as printing inks and OPV's (including flexo and gravure). Propylmatte 31 has an additional level of 2.0 - 5.0%. Propylmatte 500 by Micro Powders is a tough, high molecular weight, finely micronized polypropylene for consistent matting and gloss control. It offers uniform gloss reduction with good clarity, smoother surface feels and free from viscosity effects incomparison to silica additives. It imparts superior burnish and abrasion resistance. In powder coatings, it exhibits lowers gloss, reduced slip and functions as a highly effective degassing agent as well as eliminates pinholes and improves surface adhesion when overcoating or using silicone sealants. It adds texture in low bake (Low E). Propylmatte 500 is suitable for non-skid surfaces and does not lower COF. It is designed for solvent-based and energy curable coatings and inks such as industrial coatings (plastic, metal and leather), wood-, coil-, floor-, interior and exterior can and container coatings. Also, used in architectural wall and trim paints, stains, sealers, varnishes, printing inks and OPV's (including flexo and gravure). Propylmatte 500 has an additional level of 2.0 - 5.0%. PropylMatte 31SA conforms to (EU) 2019/1021 & Stockholm Convention (POP) and has a recommended additional level of 2.0-5.0% depending on the level of gloss reduction desired.
