Propylmatte 450

Propylmatte 450 by Micro Powders is a tough, high molecular weight, finely micronized polypropylene for consistent matting and gloss control. It offers uniform gloss reduction with good clarity, smoother surface feels and free from viscosity effects incomparison to silica additives. It imparts superior burnish and abrasion resistance. In powder coatings, it exhibits lowers gloss, reduced slip and functions as a highly effective degassing agent as well as eliminates pinholes and improves surface adhesion when overcoating or using silicone sealants. It adds texture in low bake (Low E). Propylmatte 450 is suitable for non-skid surfaces and does not lower COF. It is designed for solvent-based and energy curable coatings and inks such as industrial coatings (plastic, metal and leather), wood-, coil-, floor-, interior and exterior can and container coatings. Also, used in architectural wall and trim paints, stains, sealers, varnishes, printing inks and OPV (including flexo and gravure). Propylmatte 450 has an additional level of 2.0 - 5.0%.
