LAVIOTHIX® P1 by Laviosa Minerals is an activated, white bentonite clay with 98% montmorillonite content. Acts as a rheology modifier and an antisettling agent. Suitable for water borne formulations that forms non-transparent gel. It can be incorporated as powder or as an aqueous pregel at 3 - 4 %wt. Provides stability, enhanced texturing, stippling effects, viscosity and adhesion control. It shows gel formation properties at low or high shear rate. It is suitable for emulsion paints, bituminous emulsion and latex paints. The dosage level of this grade is 0.5 - 5.0% by weight. LAVIOTHIX® P1 has a shelf life of 12 months. The dosage level is 0.3 - 3.0% by weight. LAVIOTHIX® DP1 by Laviosa Minerals is a high performance, purified smectite (98% montmorillonite) bentonite grade. It acts as a rheology modifier for waterborne formulations. Offers great pseudoplastic behavior and thixotropy with efficiency. Provides stability and viscosity control. It can be incorporated as aqueous pregel at 10 - 12 %wt. Shows gel formation properties at low or high shear. LAVIOTHIX® DP1 is used in emulsion paints, bituminous emulsion and latex paints.
