LAVIOTHIX® DP1 by Laviosa Minerals is a high performance, purified smectite (98% montmorillonite) bentonite grade. It acts as a rheology modifier for waterborne formulations. Offers great pseudoplastic behavior and thixotropy with efficiency. Provides stability and viscosity control. It can be incorporated as aqueous pregel at 10 - 12 %wt. Shows gel formation properties at low or high shear. LAVIOTHIX® DP1 is used in emulsion paints, bituminous emulsion and latex paints. Its shelf life is 12 months.
