Omnicat 250 by IGM Resins is a versatile photoinitiator for cationic polymerization of epoxy- or oxetane-based photocurable systems upon light exposure.<br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It is suitable for surface and through cure.</li><li>It is especially suitable to the cure thick and highly pigmented systems.</li><li>It is designed for clear and white systems.</li><li>It affords minimum yellowing after exposure to sufficient amounts of UV radiation.</li><li>It can be used to effectively cure cationic inks and coatings, such as printing, flexographic & screen inks, varnishes, paper, metal, wood, plastic and white base coatings.</li><li>The recommended addition level is 1.5-3.0% for white base coatings, 1.5-4.0% for flexographic ink, 1.5-3.0% screen ink, 1.0-1.5% for overprint varnishes as supplied, in combination with 0.5-0.7 % of a photosensitizer, e.g., thioxanthones.</li><li>Omnicat 250 has a shelf life of 24 months.</li></ul> Omnicat 320 by IGM Resins is a colorless photoinitiator of mixed triarylsulfonium hexafluoroantimonate salts in propylene carbonate.<br>

<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It is a solid of a high-molecular-weight sulfonium salt free of heavy metals.</li><li>It has very low odor during and after curing.</li><li>It shows very low migration properties.</li><li>It is designed for white and pigmented systems.</li><li>It can be used alone or in combination with suitable photo sensitizers in UV-curable inks and varnishes.</li><li>It is used in paper, metal, wood and plastic coatings.</li><li>The recommended addition level for pigmented inks is 2-4%, overprint varnishes is 1-3% and the maximum concentration is 4%.</li><li>Omnicat 270 has a shelf life of 24 months.</li></ul> Mixed triarylsulfonium hexafluorophosphate salts. Acts as a cationic photo initiator. Designed for UV radiation curing system. Value of UV absorption is 296 nm. Used in flexographic and silk screen inks, overprint varnishes and plastic coating. Reaction product of polyol and 10 (carboxymethoxy)-biphenyl-4-yl-2isopropyl-9-oxo-9H-thioxanthen-10-ium hexafluorophosphate. Acts as a cationic photo initiator. Designed for UV radiation curing system. Value of UV absorption is 245 nm. Used in flexographic and silk screen inks, overprint varnishes and plastic coating. Omnicat BL 550 by IGM Resins is blend of 10-biphenyl-4-yl-2-isopropyl-9-oxo-9H-thioxanthen-10-ium hexafluorphosphate (20%) in propylene carbonate (25%) and (3-4-epoxycyclohexane) methyl3’-4’-epoxycyclohexyl-carboxylate (55%). Acts as a cationic photoinitiator. Designed for UV radiation curing system. Values of UV absorption are 220 and 280 nm. Omnicat BL 550 is recommended for use in flexographic and silk screen inks, overprint varnishes and plastic coating.
