PL -6976 by Esstech acts as a mixed aryl sulfonium salt cationic photoinitiator. Provides lower yellowing than PL-6992. It is soluble in most cycloaliphatic epoxies as well as vinyl ethers and other vinyl terminated monomers but insoluble in water. PL -6976 exhibits very fast curing. Used in coatings for graphic arts, wood, plastics, metal applications. Usage level ranges from 0.3 - 10%. PL -6992 by Esstech acts as a mixed aryl sulfonium salt cationic photoinitiator. PL -6992 used in coatings for graphic arts, wood, plastics, metal applications. Usage level ranges from 1.0-8.0%. PL -460 by Esstech acts as a photoinititiator. Provides a perfect balance between surface cure and through cure to enable the best possible adhesion in white as well as pastel pigmented systems. It works well as a press side additive for the printer due to its liquid form. Possesses low yellowing properties. PL -460 used in thicker clear coatings for graphic arts, wood, plastics & metal applications. Recommended usage level ranges from 2-8%. PL -369 by Esstech is 2-Benzyl-2-dimethylamino-1-(4-morpholinphenyl) butanone. Acts as a type-I photo initiator. It is often used with PL-ITX as a sensitizer to enhance the curing efficiency in inks. It is good in pigmented systems (non-whites) and exhibits excellent cure. PL -369 used in printing inks such as ink jet, flexographic, screen, lithographic and dry offset. Usage level ranges from 0.3 - 5%. PL -200 by Esstech hydrophilic fumed silica. Acts as a rheology modifier and gloss control agent. Also acts as a photoinitiator. Provides anti-settling properties in pigmented systems. PL -200 offers excellent rheology control properties and better anti caking control. Used in UV-, solvent-based- as well as water-based coatings and inks. Usage level ranges from 0.5-20.00%. PL -TPO by Esstech is diphenyl (2, 4, 6-trimethylbenzoyl) phosphine oxide. Acts as a type-I photoinitiator. It is soluble in most monomers, oligomers and prepolymers but insoluble in water. Exhibits excellent through cure and low yellowing properties. Also exhibits excellent performance in white pigmented systems and thick clear coatings. Used in flexographic-, inkjet-, screen-, lithographic- and dry offset printing inks. PL -TPO also used in coatings for graphic arts, wood, plastics and metal applications. Recommended usage level ranges from 0.5 – 4.0%. PL -907 by Esstech is 2-Methyl-1-[4-(methylthio) phenyl]-2-morpholino propan-1-one. Acts as a type-I photoinitiator. Also used as a sensitizer with PL-ITX to enhance the curing efficiency in inks. It is soluble in most monomers, oligomers and pre-polymers but insoluble in water. PL -907 offers excellent through cure and good performance in pigmented systems. Used in inkjet-, flexographic-, screen-, lithographic- and dry offset printing inks. Usage level ranges from 0.3 - 5%. PL -150 by Esstech is oligo [2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-[4-(1-methylvinyl) phenyl] propanone] and 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenyl-1-propanone. Acts as a type-I photoinitiator. It is soluble in most monomers, oligomers and prepolymers but insoluble in water. Exhibits excellent surface cure and has low odor. Used in coatings for graphic arts, wood, plastics as well as metals. PL -150 also used in flexographic-, screen-, lithographic- and dry offset inks. Usage level ranges from 0.5 - 10%. PL -100 by Esstech is blend of oligo [2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-[4-(1-methylvinyl) phenyl] propanone] and 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenyl-1-propanone. Acts as a type-I photoinitiator. It is soluble in most monomers, oligomers and prepolymers but insoluble in water. Possesses low odor and exhibits excellent surface cure. Used in coatings for graphic arts, wood, plastics and metals. PL -100 also used for flexographic-, screen-, lithographic- and dry offset inks. Usage level ranges from 0.5 - 10%. Acts as a cationic photo initiator. It is easy to use, non amine containing, shows very fast curing, excellent through and surface cure. It provides an optimum balance between surface cure and through cure to enable the best possible adhesion in these systems. Used in dark and black inks and coatings, clear coatings for graphic arts, wood and plastics. Because of its optimum viscosity, it can be used in flexographic, screen and paste inks without negatively effecting rheology.
