PL -150 by Esstech is oligo [2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-[4-(1-methylvinyl) phenyl] propanone] and 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenyl-1-propanone. Acts as a type-I photoinitiator. It is soluble in most monomers, oligomers and prepolymers but insoluble in water. Exhibits excellent surface cure and has low odor. Used in coatings for graphic arts, wood, plastics as well as metals. PL -150 also used in flexographic-, screen-, lithographic- and dry offset inks. Usage level ranges from 0.5 - 10%.
