Tyzor® OGT

Tyzor® OGT by Dorf Ketal is organic alkoxy titanate. Acts as a crosslinking agent, catalyst and as an adhesion promoter. It is a 100% active, colorless-to-yellowish organic liquid that is sensitive to moisture. It increases surface hardness, promotes adhesion, improves resistance to heat, chemicals, corrosion and scratches, adds iridescence or enhances light reflection. It is an effective catalyst for esterification, transesterification, condensation and addition reactions. Its benefits include elimination of by-products, increased yield, easy work-up, low catalyst concentration and low toxicity. Tyzor® OGT is used in glass, metals, fillers, paints and pigments.

Tyzor® TEAZ

Tyzor® TEAZ by Dorf Ketal acts as a crosslinking agent, catalyst and as an adhesion promoter. It reacts with water by hydrolysis to form a reactive hydroxy zirconium chelate that is stable in water for extended periods. The original or hydrated chelate bonds with organic -OH or -COOH groups to form strong gels by cross-linking many polymeric materials and carbohydrates such as cellulose, starch and guar. Used as a Lewis acid catalyst in processes such as esterification, transesterification, condensation, addition, polymerizations and similar reactions. Tyzor® TEAZ is used in highly viscous thixotropic paints and waterborne paints such as acrylics.

Tyzor® NPZ

Tyzor® NPZ by Dorf Ketal is a highly reactive organic alkoxy zirconate with approximately 74% active content in n-propanol. Acts as a crosslinking agent, catalyst and as an adhesion promoter. It increases surface hardness, promotes adhesion, enhances color and iridescence. It improves heat and light reflection, corrosion resistance and scratch resistance. It increases yield, provides easier work up at low concentration. Used as a Lewis acid catalyst in processes such as esterification, transesterification, condensation, addition, polymerizations and similar reactions. Used in Ziegler-Natta catalysis for olefin polymerization. Tyzor® NPZ is also used in glass coatings, metal coating, fillers, pigments, –OH, COOH and similar functional polymers or binders.

Tyzor® 212

Tyzor® 212 by Dorf Ketal is Zirconium chelate with approximately 52% active ingredient in 1-propanol solution. Is an organometallic catalyst. It is not affected by freezing and thawing. It is compatible with water, offers low color generation and works well over a wide pH range. It reacts with water by hydrolysis to form a reactive hydroxy zirconium chelate that is stable in water for extended periods. The original or hydrated chelate bonds with organic -OH or -COOH groups to form strong gels by cross-linking many polymeric materials and carbohydrates such as cellulose, starch and guar. It reacts similarly as an adhesion promoter on -OH functionalized surfaces. Improves film strength, adhesion promotion and rheology control. Tyzor® 212 cross-links polymers and binders in solvent-borne and water-borne coatings and printing inks. It can also be used for surface modifications of pigments.

Tyzor® NBZ by Dorf Ketal is Tetra n-butyl zirconate. It is a highly reactive organic alkoxy zirconate with approximately 87% active content in n-butanol. Acts as a crosslinking agent, catalyst and as an adhesion promoter. Tyzor® IBAY by Dorf Ketal Is a titanium ethyl acetoacetate complex-based crosslinking agent, catalyst and as an adhesion promoter. It is also acts as a drying agent. It is low in toxicity, produces high yields, can be used at low concentrations and is easy to work. Its high reactivity at low temperatures enables it to react with common functional groups such as R-OH, M-OH, Si-OH and R-COOH for crosslinking, adhesion promotion and coating formation on polymers, mineral substrates and metals. Tyzor® TnBT

Tyzor® LA

Tyzor® LA by Dorf Ketal acts as a crosslinking agent, catalyst and adhesion promoter. It is a hydrolytically stable, water-based titanium chelate with lactic acid (ammonium salt) as the chelating agent. It is a clear to slightly hazy, colorless to light yellow liquid with approximately 50 % active content. It remains stable in water at pH 7 - 8 even in the presence of possible reactants. It improves adhesion, increases surface hardness, enhances heat and light reflectivity. It improves corrosion resistance and scratch resistance. It is an effective catalyst for esterification, transesterification, condensation and addition reactions. It is especially well-suited to direct esterification processes due to its excellent compatibility with the water byproduct. Its benefits include moderate reaction rates, high yield, easy work-up, low toxicity and low catalyst concentration. Tyzor® LA is used in water-borne paints.

Mixture of titanium ethyl acetoacetate complex and methyl-trimethoxy silane. Is an organometallic catalyst. It is compatible with polypropylene oxides, acrylates or polyurethanes. It is sensitive to moisture. Its high reactivity enables it to react with common functional groups such as R-OH, M-OH, Si-OH, and R-COOH to effect crosslinking, adhesion promotion and cure rate at low temperatures. It is useful as a binder and also can be used as an adhesion promoter or cross-linker for –OH or –COOH functional polymers and other binders in paints.
