Tyzor® TnBT is a crosslinking agent, catalyst and adhesion promoter by Dorf Ketal. It is composed of tetra-n-butyl titanate. It is a highly reactive organic alkoxy titanate with 100% active content. It increases surface hardness, promotes adhesion, enhances resistance to scratches and corrosion. It adds coloring effects, improves heat and light reflection and add iridescence. It can be used as a Lewis acid catalyst for esterification, transesterification, condensation and addition reactions, or as a ziegler-natta catalyst for polymerization. Tyzor® TnBT provides corrosion protection in solvent-based metal coatings. Other applications include glass coatings, fillers, pigments, OH functional polymers and other binders in paints.
