SpectrAl® 51 by Cabot is fumed alumina with a low surface area and high purity. It is characterized by high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density, positive surface charge. It provides excellent gloss, color gamut, coating transparency, and water fastness. It enhances the durability of polyurethane clearcoats. The addition of the hard alumina particles imparts excellent scratch and abrasion resistance to the coating. SpectrAl® 51 is also suitable for use in microporous coatings for inkjet printable media. SpectrAl® 100 by Cabot is fumed alumina with a high surface area and high purity. It has an aggregated structure with high purity, low bulk density, positive surface charge. It is suitable for powder coatings applications. It can help enable superior fluidization and free flow and help reduce blocking during storage. In tribo-coating applications, SpectrAl® 100 fumed alumina can improve tribo-charging while also promoting fluidization and free-flow. SpectrAl® 81 by Cabot is fumed alumina designed for inkjet printable media.
