SpectrAl® 81 by Cabot is fumed alumina designed for inkjet printable media. It is characterized by high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density, positive surface charge. It provides excellent gloss, color gamut, coating transparency, and water fastness. SpectrAl® 81 enhances the durability of polyurethane clearcoats. The addition of the hard alumina particles imparts excellent scratch and abrasion resistance to the coating.
